Part 2: Program Summary
Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program |
---|
The PCT Program has implemented several changes within our curriculum in response to feedback obtained during our community partner meetings and new graduate surveys, as well as clinical experiences within the last year. Our overall clinical experience for our students has been limited due to COVID restrictions and placement shortages within the facilities. The instructors in the program have met the challenges by designing several new simulation activities that address learning outcomes that were difficult to achieve in the clinical environment. The PCT program is staying responsive to the needs of students in the move to increasing online learning by integrating more hands-on activities in lab related to the role requirements the instructors observe during clinical rotations. The program continues to exceeded target measures in all areas, and responses from our community partners gained during PCT Advisory meetings and satisfaction surveys regarding our students and graduates are very positive.
