Part 2: Program Summary
Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program |
---|
The Cosmetology Program continues to produce quality graduates prepared to leave the program and enter the industry. Graduate totals for this academic cycle is 23 individuals - 8 for Spring 2020, and 15 for Summer 2020. We did not have any graduates during the fall of 2020 due to COVID-19 limitations in our face to face courses. The pass rate is 100% for written exams, and the graduates that registered for the practical phase are waiting for the testing sites to re-open to complete their testing. All 23 graduates are working on provisional licenses to practice in the State of New Mexico. Our continuing goal is to prepare students to achieve skills of entry level or greater to facilitate a successful and lucrative career. Our students continue to test in the 95 or above percentile when they take their state board exams. |
