This year the PTA Program finished a comprehensive self-study report for CAPTE 5 year reaccreditation as well as completed the site visit in July 2022. This was a monumental success. CAPTE is the most vigorous and scrutinizing accrediting body in the entire HWPS school. The graduating class of 2021 had an ultimate pass rate of 100%. One student did need to remediate the PEAT exam, but after that they passed the licensure exam the first attempt. All clinical sites have maintained contracts and we have added 3 new contracts, including two specialized clinics that include Pediatrics and Pelvic Health. This is a huge accomplishment in the PTA profession. These clinics have not had PTA students in the past. We are excited for the opportunity to be the ground-breaking program to accomplish this growth in the PT/PTA relationship and expanding PTA educational clinical experiences. The Program has added one new faculty member with extensive educational experience and PTA program development.

The annual graduation for 2020 was 12 and 2021 was 10. The one student did "graduated in January and not the typical December due to the need to remediate the PEAT exam. But, he ultimately did graduate and pass the licensure exam. All other targets were met.

          Interpretation of Assessment findings
          Ultimately, the program reaches all the outcomes required for student success and ultimate licensure acquisition as well as job placement. We are very successful and dedicated to our program and student's success. Faculty work tirelessly to offer high quality instruction and learning opportunities to maximize learning and ultimately a successful career. The graduation rates and number of graduates remain steady, but there are plans set in motion to increase those numbers. There are long-term goals to adjust course offerings and content to optimize the time that is spent on campus and improve acclimatize to the profession.
