Interpretation of Assessment findings |
---|
Learning Outcomes 1 and 2: In comparison to the prior academic year's results, there was a significant decrease (approximately 20%) in the percentage of students receiving a score of 75% or higher (from 79.03% to 53.57%) as well as a decrease in the average grade on the both the Final Exam and specifically, the Final Exam, Bank Reconciliation problem. These learning outcomes were met in the prior academic year and not met this year. After discussing this downward trend for the Acct 1135 Final Exam results with the faculty, one reason for this decrease may be the implementation of a common grading rubric for the Acct 1135 Final Exam. The faculty will determine if more training will be needed on using the grading rubric.
Learning Outcome #3: In comparison to the prior academic years', results, there has been a steady sustained or slight improvement of the average Acct 1150 common final exam score over the last 3 academic years. The 1150 course team will continue to monitor these results. |
