Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
This program provides spatial analysis training, including knowledge of spatial data types and formats, analysis techniques and visualization methods. The program has experienced a small dip in enrollment, upon return to in-person lab time. However, students are better able to grasp the workings of our software from the in-person work. Increasing enrollment will be an ongoing effort.

  • Capstone Project
5/7 students were able to successfully complete the final project in GIS 2228. Of the two that did not receive a passing grade, one did not submit a project at all. The passing grades were all A's.
Interpretation of Assessment findings
At 71% successful completion of the LO, we are achieving solid results. More efforts will be made to reach out to students to aid them in actually submitting work.
