Interpretation of Assessment findings
Cosmetology students are most successful when working hands on with clients and when they participate in salon externships. Cosmetology students are mostly visual learners and do well in face to face courses. We are pleased to see students confidence level increase after providing services to clients and shadowing salon mentors. Lab sheets allow students to record their progress and meet our state regulating agency's criteria for cosmetology students. Students are learning the importance of building a salon clientele and pre-booking clients in a salon lab setting. Cosmetology lab assignments help students improve their speed and increases their chance of finding a salon job upon graduation.
