HLTH 1001 is a clinical prep course blending online learning with in-person CPR skill labs. This is a short 2-weeks course offered in a blended format with online and in-person learning. COVID brought significant challenges to the in-person portion due to the many restrictions placed on classroom learning but our group managed to implement several procedures that ensured our students success despite the challenges. We taught the in-person sessions in split sections that allowed us to maintain pre-pandemic enrollment caps and serve our students with the very best in CPR education and clinical competency training. Throughout, we had fewer students due to overall college enrollment levels but, like many healthcare-related course, our numbers remained relatively high. We had to retool our Incompletes to allow for more opportunity for students not allowed on campus to make-up their missed session and we succeeded greatly in that challenge. |
