The student will obtain the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Type II Certification when he/she passes the certification exam given by ESCO Institute. With this certification, the student will be able to perform services and installations of Type II air conditioning systems as defined by EPA.

The annual number of graduates for 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 are below the target level. The reason for 2019-2020 is because our HVAC program shorted of full-time faculty. For 2020-2021 is under the Covid-19 restrictions with limited class size.

    Interpretation of Assessment findings
    Fall 2021: (13 out of 13 students passed after re-take) 12 out 13 students successfully passed the certification exam on the 1st attempt. 1 of 13 students successfully passed the certification exam on re-take. Spring 2022: (8 out of 9 students passed after re-takes) 5 out of 9 students successfully passed the certification exam on the 1st attempt. 3 out of 9 students successfully passed the certification exam on re-takes. Over all findings: 21 out of 22 students passed the certification exam. The passing rate is 95% which is lower than the expected Mastery Level of 100%, but it is very close to meet the target. No changes are needed to make at this time.
