Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
The Criminal Justice program continued to offer online, hybrid and face-to-face classes to meet student needs. The program was able to hire three additional part-time faculty that bring almost 100 years of experience to the classroom. The Program Director participated in several outreach and recruiting events. Significant progress was made in improving CPL offerings and agreements for current law enforcement officers. Ongoing efforts to redesign the term-by-term, program approved electives, and required versus elective credit are nearly completed and will be submitted to the CCC in fall 2023. Due to low enrollment and subsequent class cancellations over several semesters, the program lost one full-time faculty position (leaving two remaining, one of which is currently vacant). Two attempts to hire a full-time faculty member were unsuccessful and recruitment efforts are ongoing.
