Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
Digital Studies provides students an interdisciplinary introduction to help them think critically about their own digital presence and how they can use digital tools from a critical angle to produce academic work in whatever discipline they pursue. Intro to Digital Studies (1110) is offered each fall and spring. It has made enrollment several times now, but only in the Spring during AY 21-22. Intro to Digital Humanities is listed in the catalog, but has only been offered once. With the support of the Mellon Humanities Pathways Grant, the School of Liberal Arts is looking to train another instructor or two to be able to promote and teach that class in the future. Specifically, qualified faculty will attend the Digital Humanities Summer Institute in June 2023 in Victoria, British Columbia, to receive that training.
