For the academic year 2022-2023, there were 161 declared Nutrition majors. Ten AS degrees were awarded for the 2022-2023 year. The Nutrition program offered two Nutrition Students Mixer/Meetings via Zoom, in Fall and in Spring. Students were able to meet CNM and UNM Nutrition faculty as well as become connected with other Nutrition majors and ask questions/gain information about future study and careers in the field. Nutrition faculty also participated in College Day to bring awareness to our programs. Challenges included the lack of enrollment in face to face courses, which resulted in canceling some of them before the start of term. Another challenge was the continued lower enrollment CNM-wide, which limited course offerings and part time instruction. Also, one of the Nutrition full-time instructors retired at the end of Spring 2023.

Most target measures were met, exceeding goals in the respective categories. Annual number of graduates in 2022-2023 did not exceed 10, but it was at 10.

Direct measurement by instructors using the Dietary Analysis Project scored by a common rubric was used to assess proficiency. Proficiency was achieved at 94%.

Direct measurement by instructors using the Dietary Analysis Project: Assign any report from D&W Plus to demonstrate that the students can complete the work required within D&W Plus was how the program assessed proficiency. Proficiency was achieved at 94.5%.
Interpretation of Assessment findings
Students demonstrated a high level of proficiency in both learning outcomes assessed.
