Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
The automotive program this year has experienced some highs and some lows. We are slowly transitioning to a new automotive facility that we are currently in the planning stages of. Our new technology center will be located in Rio Rancho. This year we lost one full time faculty member and another had a serious medical issue that created challenges to the program but we were able to overcome with some help from diesel faculty. We hope to hire two to three more part time faculty this coming year. Overall our numbers are all trending upward and well above minimal standards. Our class caps are back to 20 which means that our student population numbers are growing and hope to be back to pre-covid numbers soon. Our hybrid and EV program is taking off and hope to add a certificate in that soon.

-Average class fill rate is well above the minimum standard of 60% at 72%. Our numbers dipped slightly as we transitioned back to a twenty student cap from the twelve student cap we initiated during Covid. -This last year our annual retention rate was at 97%. I believe this is one of the best overall retention rates we have seen in the program and we hope to continue this trend. -Annual C-Pass rate for coursework is well above 60% at 86% and is slowly trending upward. -Annual number of graduates is greater than 10 with us having 30 this past year and we hope these numbers will continue to climb as we return to pre-Covid class sizes.

Our students are doing very well in the internship program. Our industry partners are very impressed with our students and the level of knowledge they have achieved throughout their education. They are very proficient in the skills portion of the internship that deals with the actual repairing of vehicles in the field. They are properly trained throughout the program and safety is stressed as utmost important for a long healthy career in the industry. When asked about our students work ethic and their ability to work in a responsible and environmentally safe manor the responses varied between "most of the time" and "always" which corresponds to the two highest scores on the rubric.
Interpretation of Assessment findings
According to our assessment findings our program is in great shape and growing. This does not mean we will rest on our laurels. We hope to maintain and increase these numbers over the next few years again as we transition into our new transportation technology center.
