Part 2: Program Summary
Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program |
---|
Program highlights include adding an Attend Anywhere course to the Nutrition schedule. The Nutrition program also offered two Nutrition Students Mixer/Meetings via Zoom, both in Fall and Spring. Students were able to meet CNM and UNM Nutrition faculty as well as become connected with other Nutrition majors and ask questions/gain information about future study and careers in the field. Nutrition faculty also participated in College Day to bring awareness to our programs.
Challenges included the the lack of enrollment in face to face courses, which resulted in canceling some of them before the start of term. Another challenge was the continued lower enrollment CNM-wide, which limited course offerings and part time instruction. Also, one of the Nutrition full-time instructors retired at the end of Spring 2023.
