Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
The Paralegal program continues to have challenges with enrollment. Enrollment is high in the first two paralegal courses and the challenge continues to ensure that students continue through the upper-level courses and complete the program. A new Program Director was hired along with 2 part-time faculty. The Program Director participated in all outreach events offered by CNM. This includes participation in high school career fairs; college fairs; senior night; dual credit fairs; and promotional opportunities on various CNM campuses. The Program Director also worked with recruitment to create social media advertising to promote the PL program. The program made term-by-term changes and removed the elective to make the program 60 credits instead of 63. Changes were submitted to the CAT team and approved in the fall 2023. The program provides a valuable option for students interested in entering the legal field.
