Part 2: Program Summary

Provide a high level review of the program to include highlights, successes, challenges, significant changes, and significant resources needed to support the program
The PCT Program has again exceeded Target Measures in all areas. Although our average class size has increased from 18 to 20.1, and our average class fill rate has increased to 78% from 74% last cycle, we continue to face challenges in increasing enrollment and have been listed as a program to fix in CIPR. We are currently working on a proposal to revise our curriculum to offer our complete program in one term in hopes to increase enrollment and provide more opportunities for students to successfully complete the program. We have met all of our goals this cycle, and our dedicated faculty team continue to work diligently to provide our community partners with quality trained Patient Care Technicians who will deliver competent, caring, safe patient care, while demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. Our greatest challenge is to maintain this standard of education for our students in our program while meeting CNM's requirements for enrollment and budgeting for the program.

Part 5: Additional Action Plan in Support of Student Learning (If Appropriate)

Upcoming YearChanges Planned for the upcoming yearData Motivating this change
2022-2023
We are currently looking at overall curriculum and program revision to offer the program to be completed in one term. This proposal will be presented for approval in the next catalog cycle.
Our PCT Program has been categorized in CIPR as needing to be fixed due to lower enrollment and high cost. We have made some adjustments to address the cost of the program, but increasing enrollment continues to be a challenge. Offering the program to be completed in one term will provide more opportunities for students to enroll.
