Regarding knowledge of career pathways in the veterinary profession, an average of 4.6 careers were provided pre course and 5.9 were provided post. Pre questionnaire 22% of student knew what a paraprofessional opportunity was and 36% post. Pre questionnaire showed 68% confidence in the concepts of ethics and confidentiality and 87% post. | Improvement was noted which supports the focus question. Although, the questionnaire items were ultimately analyzed separately and focus was on comparing pre and post course questions. An overall grade, as suggested, for the assignments was not applicable. | Comparing pre and post questionnaire there was some improvement noted. Most notably in regards to how the student feels about their knowledge with ethics and confidentiality. Knowledge on paraprofessional opportunities were fair/poor pre and did not show much improvement post course. |
