There were 2 students in the Practicum. 100% of the students who took a certificate exam prior to or upon graduation passed their exam. | Practicum numbers are low. Spring 2024 to current date, the highest number of students in a practicum since last Spring is this Fall Term of 5, so far there is 100% of students that are passing at an 85% or better. Students who took the practicum exam after graduation we do not currently have data on their exams and passing rate. | The results demonstrate that with the low numbers 4, and 2 respectively, practicum should be analyzed at 80% or better. With at least one student receiving a 80%-to 84%, lowers the overall score. The mean grade is Spring 2024: 88.8 or an 89% The mean grade for Summer 2024: 90.47 or a 90% This demonstrates that there are a few students with low "B's" but there are at least half with high "A's". Describe any change in student achievement observed as part of this assessment process, and what led to those changes.
I did not know the information prior in Round 1 or 2. It will be interesting to see what changes occur moving forward.
Describe long-term changes in the program(s) that the assessment process led to, and what motivated those changes?
It did not but changes are occurring not only in the Term-by-Term but in the format of some of the courses. The survey will be done in the upcoming Round.
What did you learn about the teaching and learning of "Practicing Community" in your programs?
This is where changes that were much needed came to light. Some of the format had not been changed since COVID and some I do not think the Term-by-Term had been changed in years.
Describe any external factors affecting the program or affecting assessment of the program.
The program term-by- term is being changed and the Fitness Certificate will no longer have a practicum. It will only be two terms.
