Learning Outcome (or Gen Ed Essential Skill) | Focus Area |
---|---|
3. Discuss the regulatory environment and licensing issues affecting UAS operations as prescibed by the FAA, State, and Local Government. | We need to see at least 80% of our students be able to achieve the LO. I believe our program's curriculum does facilitate this. Furthermore, with regards to this particular LO, students should be able to obtain their FAA part 107 license if the successfully meet the LO. |
4. Demonstrate the ability to implement a UAS mission in accordance with safe-flight standards. | We need to see at least 80% of our students be able to achieve the LO. I believe our program's curriculum does facilitate this. This is verified with the final project assignment in UAS 1010. |

3. Discuss the regulatory environment and licensing issues affecting UAS operations as prescibed by the FAA, State, and Local Government. | the tool used will be a project wherein the student is required to create an outline describing in detail how they would approach safely/successfully executing a UAS data capture mission, given a scenario. This includes addressing FAA regulations. | uas 1010 | expectation would be that students are able to achieve a 75% or greater on this project. |
