Assessments will include written responses and multiple choice quizzes and exams.FS 1010 Principles of Emergency Services FS 2215 Firefighter I & II TheoryStudents will perform better in once class than the other on specific learning outcomes. I will compare quizzes and exams from 2-3 different courses that assess the same learning outcome. My threshold will be 80% and higher compared to any students that scored under 80% correct on questions assessing the particular learning outcome.

FS 2215: Fall 2023 62% met threshold, Fall 2024 57% met thresholdResults were similar across all term offerings. Students are not performing as well as expected. Using an 80% threshold may be too high, however, when looking at student grades, students who scored between 70% and 79% did not make a large difference. There was little difference between face to face and online learners.

Describe the change that was implemented.Ensure pertinent material is thoroughly covered during the term and learners have the ability to ask questions. Create discussion questions that focus on the promotion of fire protection and prevention within the community. Ensure the appropriate quizzes are being evaluated.
