| Learning Outcome (or Gen Ed Essential Skill) | Summary of Results | Reflection on Focus Area | Intepretation of Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of person-in-environment in relation to clients and one's professionalism in the fields of Human Services. | 90% of students increased their performance (based on the pre and post practicum assessment). This shows valued improvement in the agency that will directly translate to another site when the student is employed in the field. | The results are a direct relationship to what was taught in the course, to the real experiential learning that happened at the site. | This shows that this course is on target in providing a well rounded agency experience and real life preview on what to expect an agency. |
| 4. Demonstrate nondiscriminatory responsiveness appropriate to working with culturally diverse individuals. | 100% of students adhered to the code of ethics learned in multiple classes in the program, and applying the code at the agency level to be an effective and efficient, valued, and educated part of the agency helper team. | The results support that our teaching and reinforcement of the code of ethics is working so the students retain the info in the real world setting. | This shows us that learning the code of ethics and knowing "right from wrong" does help students when placed in an agency where ethics can be challeged and broken (unintentionally and intentionally) if not careful. Our program and this class helps reinforce this support and professionalism. |

|---|---|
| Describe the change that was implemented. | Complete regular check in with the students and with the agency to ensure detailed required are fulfilled and competencies learned are documented and attained. |
| Type of Change |
|
| Change in Assessment Approach or Tools? | No. It will require the Human Services staff (instructor, clinical coordinator, etc) to complete routine check in's with both the student and agency. |
| What data motivated the change? | We want to get to 100% of students engagement and interaction with agency initiatives and topics. This will allow us to strengthen the program with those that are succeeding, and giving extra support for those that may need some more motivation, communication, and instruction. |
| Hypothesis about the effect the change will have? | This will help the student be more confident in applying the education aspect into the experiential learning at the agency. It will also help to motivate the student in knowing that we are completing routine check in's to alleviate any anxieties. |
| 4. Demonstrate nondiscriminatory responsiveness appropriate to working with culturally diverse individuals. | |

| 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of person-in-environment in relation to clients and one's professionalism in the fields of Human Services. | We will continue to use the pre and post evaluation method, along with the student tracking hours log with the agency supervisor signing off on the hours recieved. | The process will be duplicated after each assessment to show improvements, and competencies according to the course syllabus. |
| 4. Demonstrate nondiscriminatory responsiveness appropriate to working with culturally diverse individuals. | We will use the pre and post evaluations to collect the data to show us the skills and competencies that need to be strengthened. | The process will be duplicated after each assessment to show improvements, and competencies according to the course syllabus. |
| Learning Outcome (or Gen Ed Essential Skill) | Summary of Second Round Results | Intepretation of Results, Pre- and Post-Change | Follow up questions, possible next steps |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of person-in-environment in relation to clients and one's professionalism in the fields of Human Services. | Then student post evaluations showed an increase of 3% of engagement, and skill which was facilitated by CNM instructor on both the student and agency supervisor areas. | Continue the practice of routine communication between student and agency supervisor throughout the semester and not when an issue arises. | |
| 4. Demonstrate nondiscriminatory responsiveness appropriate to working with culturally diverse individuals. | The results of the second round increased in overall scores for those that received a "4" and now received a "5" in the post evaluation from their agency supervisor. The increase communication allowed for open and honest feedback through the agency experience. This openness helped the student to increase their understanding of concepts in the field. | Continue to check in with both the student and the agency on the progress being made. We will set up a monthly schedule to use throughout the semester. |
